Leigh P. Robie

Partner

(213) 823-2780

Leigh Robie joined Long & Levit in 2023 after practicing at Robie & Matthai since 2013.  She handles legal malpractice matters defending attorneys and law firms ranging from solo practitioners to international firms. Leigh has successfully represented lawyers and law firms in numerous legal malpractice and breach of fiduciary duty cases arising out of medical malpractice, business transactions, entertainment, family law, probate, construction defect, personal injury, and criminal/murder matters.  Leigh appreciates and enjoys having to adapt to and learn the law of the various underlying representative matters.

Leigh also does general defense work including defense of CEO’s handling of their company’s sexual abuse claims, personal injury claims, and property disputes.

Leigh’s cases often involve high profile or complicated matters involving complex legal issues and voluminous amounts of documents.  Her analytical skills and litigation judgment help her wade through voluminous documents and electronic records to identify the significant information and synthesize the data for use throughout the litigation.  She has second chaired numerous arbitrations and jury trials.

As the daughter of two trial lawyers, Leigh gained an early understanding of the practice and an instinct for using the facts to the best advantage of the firm’s clients.  During law school, Leigh clerked for the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office, handling over 50 felony preliminary hearings and two misdemeanor trials.  The most important lesson: learning to think on her feet.
